Some days just hurt. They do. If you find yourself having one of those days, you’re not alone. I’m right there with you.
Whatever the cause of your pain, it’s okay to feel it. To sit with it for a bit and see if maybe there’s something you can learn from it. Or to just cry and hide from people.
Today, I’m thinking about it. I’m grateful to be able to do that.
The wind seems to be blowing 5000 miles an hour right now. The trees in my back yard are swaying in crazy directions, and shingles are literally being blown off my storage shed, not to mention the dust that has come in with all this wind. I kinda feel that way today. Like I’m being blown all over the place with parts of me flying off, and being sanded down. And I guess thinking for me today, is like wearing goggles, so I’m not blinded by flying debris.
If I sound scattered, it’s because I am. Hard not to be with all the chaos blowing around my mind.
Regardless of your situation, if you’re having a hard day like me, be kind to yourself. It’s more than okay to take care of you. Give yourself a break. And don’t feel bad about it. Do nice stuff for yourself. You deserve all the love and compassion you give to others. You’re not meant to take the weight of the world on your shoulders alone. Maybe ask someone for help, if you need it. Get a hug from someone who loves you. And yes, cuddles with dogs or other pets count! Do what you need to get through today, and remember you are worthy of a beautiful, hope-filled life.
